I've been asked to make a brief money making guide for beginners a few times now, most recently by D0dito. So I figure why not, as there are a few skill guides out there, but none completely dedicated to how to earn GP on Classic, which can be quite challenging for new players. This guide is geared towards lower level players, just covering the basics of a few methods.

Also, touching on a few higher level methods so players have an idea of what they can do at a higher level as well. If you have anything to add to the guide, please post below and I'll try my best to make it happen. If you are unsure of prices, you can look at my price guide below.

I added in average prices in this guide where I could, but I don't have room to list all prices for items mentioned. A basic price guide - QFC: Near everything takes longer and is more difficult in Classic.

The Classic community is a very kind and helpful group of people. However, beggers are often ignored. Use these forums, or PM A Classic player. Most of us are willing to help when we can. Look at what people are buying, and gather it. People on the forums generally pay better than those in-game as well.

It may be daunting at first. Though things on Classic wont ever be easy, they will become less difficult as your character progresses. Games are about fun after all, right?

Thanks everyone for posting! You can gather the feathers they drop and sell to other players. They are usually in demand. At 6 - 10cb you can start gathering herbs from men, which can be found around Lumb or in a house above Edgeville. You may need a few pieces of food at first.

Gather the herbs and runes they drop. These can drop two herbs at a time, as well as half keys, uncut gems, and law runes. If you have the magic level for it, I suggest bringing a tele, just in case someone tries to attack you.

Though the druids are only in lvl 1 - 4 wilderness. Other decent herb droppers: Bring a few food.

Use Varrock west bank. Sadly, giants are a very popular place for bots looking for easy prayer xp. Giants are also found in a dungeon in level 54 Wilderness.

Use Mage Arena bank. Beware PKers, though rare nowadays. Use Fally south bank. They drop limps, herbs, runes, uncut gems, laws, half keys.

They are also near the snape grass spawn if you wish to gather it as well. Limps from hobgoblins and giants usually sell well. Playing on a small screen builds character. They drop a good amount of runes, bloods, chaos, laws, natures and others, as well as elemental runes. If you are at the wizards in level 4 Wilderness, watch out for PKers, though other players aren't too common, never let your guard down.

The ones in wilderness will never become unaggressive. Thank you to RedmageAdam1 for reminding me to add these! Red dragons - Chances at rune drops, dragon bones, uncut gems, half keys.

Black dragons - Decent rune drops, dragon bones, uncut gems, half keys, shield halves, rune spears. Seems these dragons drop shield halves frequently compared to most other monsters. It is rumoured that all dragons can drop dragon meds, however I can neither confirm nor deny this. Black dragons are confirmed to drop meds.

Dragon bones usually sell very well. Price varies greatly but are always worth picking up, even at their cheapest. I suggest taking a blocker with you until you are over combat.

This beast drops dragon bones, large amounts or iron arrows, various runes, some adamant and some rune armour, among other things.

Dragon meds, rune spears and shield halves are also confirmed drops. They are found in the dungeon in level 54 Wild, as well as under Baxtorian Falls Waterfall quest needed. They drop big bones, various rune items, uncut gems, runes, herbs, half keys and even dragon meds, shield halves, and rune spears, rarely.

It is rumoured that any monster which drops gems, also has a chance at dropping shield halves. Here are some herblaw secondaries as well as how to obtain them: You can find unicorns wandering around south of Seers, around Catherby and by Varrock east mine. I suggest using range, as they have a bad habit of retreating. I suggest Edgeville as is it closer to bank and more egg respawns.

The spiders that surround these eggs are aggressive, so be careful. Also keep an eye out for Pkers if under Edge, though rare.

Not too much demand. Water filled vials are also usually in high demand.

Vials can be bought from Jatix in Taverly. Fill and bank in Fally. I suggest having at least 6 - 10cb before starting, as in Classic NPC's attack you when you fail to pickpocket them. So you get their money and their loot. Rather slow respawn time though and often botted. These sell for 1 - 2k ea.

Aggressive level 58 ogres in this area. I've left some pickpocketable creatures out of this list as they are not as profitable as others. Rune ore can sell well at most times too. And even then, demand is low for these items. This is one atk, str and def pot. Ppots also sell well. Zamorak potions can sell for quite a lot.

The contents of this message have been hidden. I really needed this. THIS IS A SIGNATURE. Hid a bit o' spam. And good guide, some excellent tips in there. I might add, for the aspiring collector, that people in Community are generally better payers then the people looking in-game, another reason to check that forum every once in a while.
