The thing about ways to make gil is that the more people do something the less profitable it becomes. So no one will want to tell you exactly what they do. Unless you are on one of the maxed out servers that no one can get on then your market will most likely have "holes" in it. That being items that don't have consistent sellers in them that are wide open for people to run a monopoly on.

If you charge fair prices for those items then everyone wins. That is the main advise I can give to people and it's always going to be different and change day to day. Probably the best way to make money and its fun too. Can even grind out your tomes at the same time. Hard to say what sells best honestly - that varies quite a bit from server to server.

Food and pots are always seem to be in high demand, as well as Materia. The Aquapolis mats seem to sell nicely too.

We run Aquapolis weekly in my FC. We had extremely good luck.

Almost every map ended up with a warp to Aquapolis. We go one at a time, so in 8 maps I made over k I stopped crafting once Heavensward came out and I have just been selling Materia and all the random crap my max level retainers bring me.

The crafting materia is guaranteed to give you atleast k for 1, you can get 15 with 3 lines this week Heavensward has been a massive gil bringer for my FSH. Fisher used to be a so-so money maker pre-expansion. I usually use my FSH or CUL to: Lately I don't even use my CUL to make food for sale, I just make my own raid food, and use it for desynthing for mats to sell. I don't bring in massive amounts of gil, but I can easily and lazily make a couple million over a few hours of work. If there is a particular item I really want, I buckle down and work twice as hard for it.

For me, it is all about the medium trickle of gil coming in at all times, rather than those massive occasional spikes of gil.

It all goes towards my obsession to glamour the living day-lights out of all my jobs, and then once a month try another combination. Daily duties gives a good chunk everyday. Crafting if you can stomach that. Playing the market buy low sell high I haven't made a lot of gil quickly since 3.

Look at the MB and sell whatever is selling high. There really isn't a catch all answer to making money. I'll tell you an easy way that won't break other people's markets. Get your desynth skill up and desynth stuff from i70 to i You'll get a lot of fieldcraft and battle craft demimateria which sells for a lot. It's a gatherer's market, and has been for a while. The Carbonized matter tends to sell better just after any patch that introduces crafted gear that can be penta-melded.

Really depends on your market and where you are at with gil. YMMV on numbers and what you consider a little or a lot, but this was my method and it worked well enough for me. Not sure this helped, but markets are very volatile things and it is really hard to pin-point what is "good". I have had great success selling housing items only to have someone find the hole in the market and completely crash it.

If you can devote the time to being a little vigilant though, it isn't too difficult and probably a better money vs time exchange than just bulk gathering. Mnn, the issue is finding what items work for people who are casual.

I've had 0 luck playing the market at all except when it comes to like, 2 items.

I check twice a day usually just to see where things are at and make adjustments. If you can't log on that often, I would suggest a slower market with more stability. Things like general purpose dyes, and crafting materia V's, things that may not sell as fast, but if you price them reasonably, they will get bought up in clumps. I find people will get impatient with those items and try to dump them for significantly lower than sale history.

Buy them up, set them at just above the next lowest price, and they will usually be gone in a few days.

Some minions act like this too, so keep your eye on those. Silver Ore typically sells pretty fast, as, IIRC, you need it to make glamour prisms. Find friends and plan activities together.

All the best ways of getting gils promote heavy teamword. From symbiosis to crafting and dungeoning. Use excedent tomestones for value. Some items are stappled as painfull and then sell rarely or very high on the market. Good news for you a lvl30 craft is always trivial. Good practices as you play: DoL are very time dependant at high level. POTD gives actually very OK income for what it is if done properly. These are decent at leveling DoH and also any class as long as you are proactive doing those and take time to level up.

Can also be profitable. Always consider chosing this activity if available. LOL - Retainer and GC missions: Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. What sells best on your sever?

Is grinding mats that cost only gil worth going for in bulk? I'm just going to say crafting. The only downside, is finding a group to do it. Being in a good FC definitely helps. I just usually reshuffle at 7 until I get one line and then hope for 2.

You can get 40 with capped lore, each sells for 3, Also Tier 5 Materia sells well, Field Craft 3 demis, highend crafter and raider food, etc. If you have less than 1,, gil: Gathering bulk buy mats.

I ran HQ wyrven obsidian for a while Post 1,, gil to [insert a number of gil you consider a lot here] At this point you can find a few fast paced markets, buy it out when it is low and resell high.

This takes about 10 minutes of my game time a day, and nets me anywhere from a quarter to three-quarters of mil a week. After you have a lot of gil Gear up a crafter and craft expensive things.
